Keep Regular With The Acai Berry Diet

By Dana Hawkes

Weight loss is not something that occurs independent of everything else. There are different reasons for weight loss to occur and because health is extremely complex, not all of them are actually good reasons.

One reason that a person is able to lose weight is optimal digestion. When a person's digestion is optimal, it means that they are not having a lot of extra water weight in their digestive tract and waste products are moving through them at a relatively reasonable pace. Many foods that are high in dietary fiber are the foods that help digestion and the interesting part about that is that the acai berry is truly one of those foods.

The acai berry diet is a high fiber diet. People that are looking to increase the dietary fiber that they get normally resort to eating things like All Bran and similar cereals, but at the end of the day it is actually true that fruits have a lot of fiber and can contribute a large part of the fiber that you need daily in order to maintain digestive regularity. When you are on the acai diet however, it is conceivable that you could actually get it all from fruits and vegetables and not have to resort to eating carbohydrates at all for their fiber.

For many people, this really turns out to be a very good thing. After all, dietary fiber is one of the main reasons that people eat carbohydrates, even when they might not otherwise want to. It is possible to get all of the carbs that you would need on a daily basis from fruits and vegetables, but people who don't know about the acai berry diet often end up eating them anyway so that they can reach their daily fiber goal.

The same analysis done on many of the other foods to show their fiber content has shown that the acai diet will add a high fiber substance into your diet every day. This in turn means that you have much more freedom to choose whatever you would like when it comes to your diet. In the end, that is a priceless contribution on the part of the acai berry and a reason why you should seriously consider the acai berry diet. - 15052

Understanding More About Acai Berry Capsule Products

By Dana Hawkes

Acai berry products are available in different forms currently, of which the acai berry capsules are worthy of mention. These capsules consist of a dried powder of the acai berry. The acai berry is a native Brazilian fruit that does not last longer than 24 hours once it is harvested. That is the reason the acai berry needs to be processed and preserved in different forms so that it can be commercially sold. This is the reason why the acai berry capsule and other acai berry products exist. These are all commercially viable forms of the acai which enable people outside the rainforest to share the benefits of the berries.

The acai berry is a fruit that has high water content. In part, it is this water content that makes it perishable. When these products are regenerate into capsules, the fruit is first freeze dried. This is a process of dryness, in which the water content from the fruit is completely removed and it is converted into a dry powder. The powder is then put into a capsule and retailed.

Removing the water content from the fruit increases the shelf life of the acai quite considerably. Additionally, it increases the concentration of the nutrients present in the fruit. This makes the capsule form of the acai berry more effective than its other forms that are available such as the pulp and juice forms, which have a significant amount of water content in it.

The acai berry capsules can be easily obtained online. You can expect these products to be pegged at a higher price than the juice and the pulp because they contain pure acai powder. However, despite the high price, these products have the highest demand because they can be easily popped and they are very convenient to store. They also last longer. Their convenience adds to their popularity.

Some companies provide trial acai berry capsules so that you can get familiar with the product before you decide to use them regularly. Since the acai berry products, especially the capsules, show results within a very short time, it is a nice idea to go for these trial efforts and find out whether the product really shows results or not. - 15052

How to Have Great Six Pack Abs, the Best Muscle Building Workouts

By Ricardo d Argence

Are you a bit of a night owl, so that you watch any TV after midnight? If so, you've probably seen a lot of infomercials, many of them promoting ab related projects. There are fad diets, machines, pills, and workouts that promise to give you the sixpack you've always wanted. There's no shortage of "yes, you can too" hype, but is it really possible to get sixpack abs through any of these methods?

The vast majority of these fads do not last very long. They are exposed for what they are and people move on to the next "breakthrough invention." If most of these fail, is there any way to get flat abs? Is there any hope?

The truth is, the best way to get a six-pack is with a time tested approach. You might not want to hear this, but the best way to achieve this goal is through a healthy diet and exercise.

In other words, there's no way to simply take a shortcut on this. It's true that you can probably drop a few pounds very quickly, but the weight is going to come back on just as quickly as it came off -- and you might damage your health, too.

So okay, that's settled. You have to exercise. What types of exercises should you do, though? Should you just start doing a thousand crunches a day? Will this give you the abs you want? It will -- but not at first.

That's because your ab muscles are probably covered by a layer of fat. So if you want to see your abs, you have to get rid of the fat. How do you do this?

Most people believe they have to do a lot of cardio, such as you might experience on the treadmill. However, this is a common (and incorrect) misconception, too. The best way to burn fat quickly, in fact, is by doing weight training and interval training.

With weight training, you burn calories quickly while you work out, but you're building muscle, so you're going to burn calories when you rest as well. As muscles begin to develop, they're going to be burning extra calories, like little incinerators, so that they can keep rebuilding themselves. This will speed up your fat burning capacity, which in turn will decrease the amount of time it takes to burn a certain amount of fat off. Besides weight lifting or weight training, you can also do short bursts of sprinting-type workouts thrown in there, too.

And of course, you should also try to eat healthier. If you're always sitting on the couch, drinking beer and eating nachos, you're not going to get that sixpack.

Instead, if you want different results, you're going to have to do something different. To get that sixpack, change what you put in your mouth. Eat healthy foods and drink water. Put good fuel into your body, in other words, and it will perform for you and give you what you want.

In short, it's pretty "simple" to obtain a sixpack, but it's not easy. You're not going to wake up tomorrow with your abs in full view, and you are going to have to work to get them that way. This can take quite a while, depending on how much weight you have to lose to begin with. But do know that you can do this if you stick with it and keep the progress coming. - 15052

Washington, DC Weight Loss Expert Reveals 4 Weight Loss Myths

By Josef Brandenburg

There is always going to be a supply of people that claim to hold the key that all of us need in order to lose a huge amount of weight. That seems about right since there is always going to be a supply of people that need an answer to their weight gain problems. Why there are so many Washington, DC weight loss services around is no mystery. A dependable trainer who will help them lose the weight is highly sought after by everyone. Whether you need weight loss advice in Washington, DC or need it anywhere else in the world, this will not change the fact that there are a lot of myths going about regarding how to lose weight. These myths have grown into conventional wisdom. That is why it is important to set the record straight regarding these myths and restore proper focus on weight loss goals.

Myth 1: The concept of the high carb, low fat diet that has been the staple of traditional diets for decades is a poor one. Curbing calories is the basis of this diet and it comes with numerous problems. Simply put, the carbs will turn to fat immediately, if you do not burn them up. That is why if your aim is to lose weight, it is important to lower your carb intake.

Myth 2: The best way to drop weight is to keep track of your calories. Although it is important not to eat in excess, too much importance is given to counting calories. The ability to keep an exact count of calories is not the easiest thing to do, making this method unrealistic and also the composition of calories is not taken into account. Is eating lean protein really that bad?

Myth 3: You will eventually lose a huge amount of weight in a years time, if you reduce a small amount of calories from your daily diet. For instance, you will lose 20lbs a year, if you cut out 200 calories from your diet per day. As a matter of fact, if this was true then no one would need the help of the Washington, DC weight loss services and they would go out of business. The truth of the matter is you have to watch what you eat. 200 calories of fat will not cause as much harm as 200 calories of carbs. Therefore it is far more important for you to consider the composition of your calories rather than the amount of calories.

Myth 4: A character defect is a reason why people are overweight. This is a very vicious myth. A Washington, DC weight loss specialist will respond with many reasons why people are overweight if you ask him, having worked with large groups of clients with weight issues. Most of the time, it is plainly because of a lack of basic understanding of how a weight loss program works. People being weak willed or undisciplined has nothing to do with it.

This is why it is extremely important to take the advice of weight training professionals that possess a deep understanding of nutrition and exercise. They will not steer you wrong and they will disavow many of the unhelpful myths permeating the diet and fitness world. - 15052

Essentials of Nutrition for Beginning Bodybuilders

By Bradley J. TeeLe

Every successful bodybuilder understands that nutrition is a key component of any training program. Following correct nutritional practices will provide you with a stable amount of energy needed for daily activities and for each training session. Having an excellent nutrition base and enough rest are vital for ongoing bodybuilding success. Not following a sound nutritional plan will just limit your potential muscle gains and may put to waste all your effort and time invested on training.

Catherine Ratzin Jackson, author of the book "Nutrition for the Recreational Athlete", explains that eating habits of bodybuilders aren't usually based on correct nutritional principles. She adds that bodybuilders are accustomed to get advice from magazine tips and nutrition store 'experts'. These sources are sometimes biased and do not provide detailed information on nutrition; topics such as calorie intake, protein requirements and foods for weight loss are often discussed hastily. Below are concise nutritional guidelines essential for bodybuilding success:

1. Avoid rapid weight loss. Rapid weight loss can result in the loss of lean body tissue and make it very difficult to increase muscle size and strength. Extreme weight loss often results from starvation or low-calorie diets, and may result in electrolyte imbalances, water and important lean body mass. High protein, low-fat diets can be harmful to your health and may prevent you from achieving your ideal body weight.

2. Use calculations to determine your protein requirements. Protein is essential for building strength, but you won't be able to achieve any results with your bodybuilding routine if you're eating too much or too little protein; the Recommended Dietary Allowance (RDA) of protein is 0.8g/ kg per day for sedentary individuals, and 1.0-1.5 g/kg for athletes. You will need to start reading the nutrition labels of different foods to make sure you are getting enough protein in the diet.

3. Quality counts. Eating quality food - wholesome, unprocessed food - as often as possible is an important part of your bodybuilding program. Eating nutrient-rich foods from plant and animal sources will help you achieve your goals faster; avoid counting solely on meal replacements and supplements that leave you feeling hungry and are not metabolized as efficiently as real food.

4. Select your supplements wisely. Using supplements is a widespread practice among bodybuilders and athletes; taking supplements that give you energy, encourage muscle gains or provide you with essential vitamins and minerals can help in some cases, but they can also have adverse side effects. Use supplements with caution, and avoid using them as a replacement for a sound nutrition program or consistent exercise regimen. Large doses of protein powders and other performance-boosting supplements can have adverse side effects.

5. Eat the right food before and after a training session. These periods are important for muscle development. What you eat will have an important effect on your results. Always take into account what you eat during these periods in a journal to track your results and even improve your food selection and consumption timing. - 15052
